Use of PRF in Regenerative Medicine

PRP has been utilized in regenerative medicine for over 2 decades. Noteworthy, the use of PRF has been commercialized in several fields of medicine owing to its longer and steadier release of growth factors over time. These applications are utilized for several regenerative protocols which will be highlighted in this course which will inform the practitioner from basic science concepts all the way to various medical applications.

About the Instructors

Robert Talac, MD, PhD

An Orthopedic spine surgeon and the founder of Renaxis Spine and Orthopedic Restorative Center.

  • Dr. Talac earned his medical degree from Medical School, Masaryk University Brno, Czech Republic, 1986-1992

  • He completed General Surgery Residency at NsP Trnava, Slovakia, 1993-1995

  • From 1995-1998, he completed Fellowship Training in Surgical Oncology at Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute, Brno, Czech republic

  • Dr. Talac earned his Ph.D. in Biophysics in 1998 his PhD project focused on Non-Invasive Quantification of Tumor Neo-vascularization using Power Doppler

  • He has received a Diploma in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery from University of Louis Pasteur Strasbourg, France

  • Dr. Talac worked as a clinician/scientist at the Department of Orthopedics and Tissue Engineering, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota from 1999-2003. There, he not only learned and perfected cutting-edge strategies that promote the regeneration and restoration of tissues, but further internalized the most important lesson in practicing medicine - "The needs of the patient come first"

  • In 2008, Dr. Talac completed 5 years residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California San Diego

  • In 2009, Dr. Talac completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Center for Spine Health, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio

  • In 2012, Dr. Talac completed a training in Endoscopic Spine Surgery at the Desert Institute for Spine Care, Phoenix, AZ

  • Robert Talac, MD, PhD has dedicated his professional life to research and advancing patient care. He is an author of more than 50+ research publications and international presentations. His works was cited more than 250 times world-wide. He is author and co-author of 9 spine surgery related books.

  • Robert Talac, MD, PhD is a recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2011, 2012, 2013) and the Most Compassionate Doctor Award (2011, 2013). These awards reflects the difference the doctor makes in the lives of the patients. The honor is bestowed upon physicians who received near perfect scores, as voted by their patients. In fact, of the nations 830,000 active doctors, only 5% were awarded this honor by their patients. The International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons recognized Dr. Talac as a Top Orthopedic Spine Surgeon.


Barbara Morgan

Clinical Director of Training, Retired RN, CST, IV Certified and Phlebotomist, CLT, MA

Barbie Morgan has joined the Advanced PRF Education team following extensive experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, emergency, urology and aesthetics.  Barbie brings with her a deep and broad skill set across all parts of medical aesthetics.  She provides a great deal of attention to each and every patient, listening to their concerns and addressing them accordingly with safe, efficacious and leading-edge procedures.  Her focus is a holistic wellness approach using natural products whenever possible.  Given this as a backdrop, BioPRF was a natural fit as a core piece of her treatment of patients including her pioneering Total U Face and Body to help naturally enhance aesthetic treatments.  She has trained aesthetic providers in all 50 states and many countries all over the world.

She holds her Associates Degree of Registered Nursing (ADRN) from Wichita State University/Hesston CC, with a minor in Psychology.  Barbie is a highly accomplished quarter horse equestrian, having won and coached multiple world championships.  She works at Skintastic Aesthetics where she is under the medical directorship (800 Rule) of  Douglas Minton, MD OB/GYN, and Danielle Sanders, APRN, FNP-C.  She lives with her family in Colorado where she enjoys an active lifestyle.

Cancellation Policy​​

A full refund for all course registration is available up to 30 days prior to the first date of the course. Thereafter, a 25% deposit fee will be forfeited owing to the necessity to inform hotels over food and beverage numbers 30 days in advance. No refund will be granted 7 days prior to the course start date. All refund requests must be submitted by mail or email.
